Monibot

MoniBot is an information panel with colour touch screen to be used in seismic monitoring systems with the purpose of report the status of health of a building and receive and broadcast alerting messages.

Applications

  • Earthquake Early Warning Systems (EEWS)
  • Structure Health Monitoring (SHM) buildings, dams, bridges, factories, etc..
  • Monitoring of seismic sensors
  • Integration of strong motion networks
  • Control room notifications
  • Signaling and alerting
  • Risk mitigation

When an earthquake with strong shake is recorded, or a structure damage is detected, the Monibot emits an alert according to a proper setup; an 86dB sound and visual alarm on the screen and with embedded lights is activated.

It can be installed in entrance halls, control rooms, concierges of any building which can be subjected to earthquakes providing proper warning, alerting or safety instructions.

It only requires a cable receiving Internet data and power (through the same cable as Power Over Ethernet), a centralised data processing in the building or from the cloud will activate MoniBot depending on the risk condition.

MoniBot connect in real time from ShakeBot, Acebox, Velbox and all our other equipments.

Main functions for seismic monitoring

  • Receive heartbeats from seismometers and notify if (for example):- a unit of the network is not working- insufficient number of units are not working
  • Receive and acknowledge alarms of N levels, like warning or danger:- warning signals inform the user there was a shake, not dangerous- alarm signal inform the user the shake was over danger level
  • Keep a system log of what happens to the seismic monitoring infrastructure
  • Notify or relaunch alarms in other media or put in action activating relays or
    other external devices
